Two graphic design students at Columbus College of Art and Design create a weekly chalkboard filled with skillfully crafted typography and inspiring quotes. The artwork has captured the attention of fellow students and taken social media by storm. Who are these artist? Dangerdust. Who is Dangerdust? A question everyone seems to be asking.
The duo chooses to be anonymous. Every week, under the darkness, the duo erases their previous masterpiece and replaces it with another. “It’s definitely a passion,” they said in an exclusive interview. “When you’re working on long extended projects for graphic design classes it’s easy to… lose motivation,” they said. “I think we’re tired of the computer, and [chalking] gives us motivation.”
