Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. — T. S. Eliot
Meet two pilots working to break records, go green, all while flying at an altitude of 28,000 feet.
Veteran pilots Piccard, 57, and partner André Borschberg, 62, have been breaking their own flight records for years now, all while attempting to fly around the world using only solar energy. Their vehicle of choice – the innovative Solar Impulse. This craft uses lithium batteries and altitude to power its’ record breaking flights.
And although these flights are extremely dangerous, their willing to push the boundaries–
It’s about redefining the limits of current technology and testing the physical limits of the human pilot
