Like anyone in the PNW, I’m a sucker for products that sneakily help our environment. Shoes that help reduce our waste while leaving the wearer stylish and comfortable all day? A done deal.
San Francisco shoe company Rothy’s make flats from recycled water bottles to provide a comfortable and breathable shoe (think Nike Flyknit, but covering the entire shoe). The manufacturing process aims to have virtually no waste, and when you’re done with the shoes, the company even encourages you to send them back to be recycled into more shoes.
Reducing our carbon footprint one ballet flat-wearing-step at a time.
