From 1998-2002 I instructed the Integrated Marketing Communications program at the University of Washington, and have served on the board for the program since the mid-90’s.
Now called the Certificate in Marketing Management, it’s the program I recommend most for people looking to take their marketing knowledge to a new level. Pass it on.
What’s in it for you?
You’ll learn how to better understand market needs and build a brand that resonates with your target audience and study high-level marketing strategy, including positioning, product decisions, pricing and branding. Additionally you’ll discover key techniques for creating more effective promotional campaigns and learn to communicate with customers in a systematic and integrated way using mobile devices, the Web, social media, email, direct mail, events and public relations. And lastly, you’ll complete a marketing plan for a local organization that can be added to your professional portfolio. Whew!
Who’s it for?
This program is designed for marketing specialists and sales professionals seeking a broader foundation in marketing. Whether you are a Marketing Manager of small businesses or organization, an individual new to marketing, advertising or PR who wants some formal training in the field, or a professional with some business experience looking to enter the marketing field — this program would be an excellent investment of your time.Class is on Tuesday nights, October – June at the UW Campus. I encourage you to attend an info session held on June 15 and July 30. For more information visit
