I just reconnected with an old friend, and he told me he recently hired a new web development firm to redesign their website and help them with their SEO and Facebook marketing.
Of course, I had to take a look at their work.
So-so design, predictable copy and clunky social integration. Yellow flag #1.
300 likes on their Facebook page was yellow flag #2.
How did they come up in search? Using just the word “design” and the city they are located in yielded the #1 organic response.
Okay, hold the other two flags. That’s kind of a big deal.
We talk about being casting responsible all the time, but let’s leave whether they should hire them for SEO and find someone else for the other stuff for another discussion.
When it comes to marketing, it’s easy to judge a book by the cover. Don’t.
Dig deeper to uncover the strengths in your team, internally and externally. They’re there – you just might have to work to find them.
interesting post and nice concept
