My colleagues at Outsource Marketing have heard me say it 100 times:
“It takes 10 good ideas to come up with one great one.”
That’s because good ideas require creativity, and creativity doesn’t come in some Eureka-holy-shit-look-what-I-just-did moment.
It comes after digging deeper.
Hitting it from every direction.
Coming together.
Going it alone.
Breaking it apart and putting it back together.
Walking away and coming back.
Inspiration.
Perspiration.
Huddling over a desk in the dark at 2:30 A.M.
Walking in the sunshine at 2:30 P.M.
Crumpling.
Erasing.
Deleting.
Shredding.
Throwing.
Yelling.
Crying.
Laughing.
Discovering.
Rejoicing.
Creativity ain’t easy.
But nothing worth doing ever is.
